Bishop backs rowdy Lily Allen for bible course

It may be hard to believe, but the Bishop of Sheffield has recommended that people listen to a Lily Allen single as part of a bible study programme.

The Right Reverend Dr Steven Croft included the radio edit of The Fear as part of the pre-Easter course, BBC News reports.

Croft said: "I think it captures a certain spirit of contemporary culture. I am not commending it as a way to think, but the song sums up a particular way of seeing the world which is very common - which is confused and afraid but also confident."I think she has captured something of the spirit of the age there."He added: "There is a pretty clear instruction in the book to group leaders to check out the lyrics first and to make sure that they use the version that is played on the radio, not the unexpurgated version."In response to the Bishop's praises, the foul-mouthed British pop star has posted the link to the story on her Twitter and tweeted: "Quite Right!!!!!!"Source: bbc.co.uk
